Q. Can anyone join?
A. Anyone with an interest in wood artistry may join.For safety, children under the age of 15 are required to be under the supervision of an adult.
Q. What is the cost to join the club?
A. Our Yearly Membership Fee is: $16.00 for Individuals and $18.00 for families.
Q. Do you have to know something about carving to belong to the club?
A. No, we have many capable members who share their ideas and provide instruction for beginners and any level that may need help.
Q. How much will the Tools cost?
A. The cost is relevant to the type of carving and the learning levels that you will acquire. The list of tools is endless, but you can start with an X-Acto knife. You will have to set you own limits, consult with the other members and see what you really need to start.
Q. Are there class offered?
A. Our club offers many classes, we have power carving and regular carving, pyrography, air brushing and more.
Q. Where are the meetings held?
A. Regular meeting are held at the Senior Center in Port Angeles. Carving Sessions at Gordon’s Shop in Sequim.
Q. Where do I get wood to carve?
A. Wood is everywhere, other carvers, lumber yard, wood suppliers, scrap piles, backyard, online, carving supply stores. Most carvers prefer basswood, but the list will go on.
